The President's Volunteer Service Award
The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation (the President's Council) was established in 2003 to recognize volunteers' valuable contributions to our communities and encourage more people to serve. The President's Council created the President's Volunteer Service Award program to thank and honor Americans who inspire others to volunteer through their demonstrated commitment and example. We are honored to have been accepted in 2024 as a Certifying Organization for the program.
Our recording period for IAMA volunteers is September 21st - September 20th. Volunteers interested in earning and receiving a Presidential Volunteer Service Award must meet the following criteria.
Criteria for Recognition:
Awards will be earned based upon eligible volunteer service with IAMA during the 12 months beginning September 21st and ending on September 20th each year.
Volunteer service must be documented through the IAMA volunteer hour tacking database within 7 days of the volunteer activity.
Volunteer service hours need to be validated with the Youth Board advisors or other IAMA board members within 30 days of submission.
100% of the minimum qualifying hours have to be volunteer hours with IAMA.
Court-ordered community service does not qualify for this award.
